Jon co-founded Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance in 2002.

He started his career at  KPMG where he worked  for 12 years before joining a 3i backed management buyout.  After exiting the buyout, he was a  corporate finance and due diligence partner at Grant Thornton for 5 years before leaving to become Finance Director  and subsequently Chief Executive of Cammell Laird Holdings Plc. At Cammell Laird he completed a number of UK and International acquisitions and raised a Euro125m corporate bond.

Jon is  Vice Chairman and Treasurer of The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and a Non-executive Director of Seddon Group and Atlantic & Peninsula Marine Services Limited – the UK’s largest provider of ship repair, conversion and marine services.

Until recently he was Chairman of Dee Valley Group Plc prior to its sale to Severn Trent Plc.

He is also Chairman of Neston Cricket Club.
