Vickers to bolster international presence
Vickers Energy Group, a producer of energy management systems and control software, has launched into four new international markets.
The Manchester-based company has expanded into Canada, Hungary, the Netherlands and Poland after being in talks with potential overseas partners since last year. Further international launches are planned throughout 2014.
As part of the overseas expansion, the company plans to grow its manufacturing division as all systems will be exported abroad from the UK.
The new markets will be managed by Vickers’ partners in the various countries.
David Hilton from Vickers’ said: “We’ve had plans in place to expand overseas into countries that have similar climates to the UK for a while and it’s great that they have now become a reality.
“We know that exports are an important part of a growing economy and we’re looking forward to contributing to the North West’s export market.”
